Product Engineer - Forklift Charging Systems (Indefinite US Work Authorization Required)

Join Crown Equipment Corporation in Celina, Ohio as a Product Engineer to drive forklift charging systems from concept through production release, coordinating cross-functional teams along the way.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead engineering activities for new charging systems, covering architecture, component selection, circuit design, and system integration.
• Create and maintain product specifications, drawings, BOMs, and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Engineer and support AC/DC and DC/DC converters, high‑frequency chargers, and industrial charging equipment.
• Lead prototype evaluation, oversee performance validation, and manage certification testing (UL, CSA, CE, IEC).
• Analyze test data, perform root-cause analyses, and propose improvements to performance, reliability, and safety.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, suppliers, and customers to enable successful product launches.
• Monitor competitive products and emerging technologies; provide technically grounded recommendations.
• Plan and manage development tasks, schedules, design reviews, and risk assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in product development, with at least 2 years focused on power electronics, industrial equipment, or charging systems.
• Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment.
• Ability to create and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to travel occasionally up to 5% with reliable local transportation.
• Ability to handle the physical and mental demands typical of office environments, including prolonged computer use, occasional lifting, walking, and stairs, and routine use of office equipment.
