Project Engineer

Odin Construction Solutions, Inc is seeking a Project Engineer to lead field engineering and quality control across environmental, geotechnical, and civil projects. This onsite Denver, Colorado role supports the Project Manager and Superintendent with technical tasks, submittals, bidding and estimating, cost tracking, material purchasing, and invoicing, reporting to Project Management in the Florida region.

Responsibilities

• Adopt Odin's core values in all daily activities.
• Establish and maintain a site quality control program aligned with Odin SOPs, project specifications, and approved work plans.
• Develop and deliver on-site training for QC personnel.
• Oversee, interpret, and conduct site surveying.
• Perform QC testing on projects.
• Provide field engineering support, including surveying, as-builts, blueprint interpretation, and management of REIs.
• Utilize computer tools (Microsoft Excel, Word, digitizer, AutoCAD, and related software) for scheduling, quantity takeoffs, and calculations.
• Assist the Project Manager with estimating and bidding projects.
• Support subcontractor management.
• Assist with submittals, purchasing of materials, costing, production tracking, and invoicing on projects.
• Collaborate with project staff to develop a strategic action plan and cost estimates for materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project.
• Recommend and analyze materials, equipment, and practices used on the project.
• Assess the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors.
• Supervise progress of development projects.
• Compare actual project costs to estimates and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with the design group to modify plans when issues arise.
• Analyze equipment, systems, and processes to identify modifications that improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Prepare periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.
• Ensure compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and company policies.
• Collaborate with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot problems.
• Share learnings with project engineers from other plans to exchange problems and solutions.

Requirements

• A relevant four-year degree from an accredited university is required.
• Fields include Earth and Mineral Sciences, Geology, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering, Technology, Construction Management, Environmental Resources Management, Environmental Engineering, or other environmentally related or construction-related disciplines.
• Several years of QC/engineering experience may be considered with a four-year degree outside the industry.
• Ability to follow and implement designated QA/QC SOPs and project requirements in the field and report quality issues to management.
• Authority to stop work if safety or QC conflicts arise; additional authority for submittals and costing varies by project complexity.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Excellent time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Functional computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, digitizer, AutoCAD, and related programs for scheduling, takeoffs, and calculations.

Work Environment

The position is primarily field-based on construction sites, with occasional required office work. Work conditions may include machinery, heavy equipment, chemicals, solvents, dust, fumes, and uneven ground, with potential exposure to extreme weather.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
