Project Engineer - Gas Facility Design
Job Description
The Project Engineer - Gas Facility Design leads gas distribution and transmission facility projects from initiation through in-service, engaging directly with clients and coordinating across disciplines. This role operates on a hybrid schedule based in Englewood, Colorado, with a salary range of USD 90,000 to 120,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Own projects from initiation through construction and in-service support.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand needs, define requirements, and develop optimized engineering solutions.
- Guide the progressive design process, producing issued-for-review (IFR) and issued-for-bid (IFB) packages while integrating stakeholder feedback.
- Provide quality oversight in accordance with ENTRUST ISO 9001 procedures and coordinate with CAD teams to translate concepts into detailed engineering drawings.
- Maintain ongoing engagement through regular meetings, field site visits, calls, and continuous communication, while supporting construction kickoff and execution and occasional site visits.
- Operate with a hybrid schedule that includes time working in the Englewood office.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in gas utility engineering, facility design, or related infrastructure.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills and comfort collaborating with stakeholders from multiple disciplines.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including Project Management, design, drafting, and project controls.
