Job Description
On-site Project Engineer II in San Antonio, TX, with a salary range of USD 60,000 to 90,000 per year, leads the design, development, and installation of electrical control and automation systems for security solutions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee hardware and software design for standard security system projects
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and milestones
- Coordinate communications with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with scope and timelines
- Keep accurate, up to date documentation for all installed systems
- Deliver training on implemented control systems as needed
- Troubleshoot and maintain new and existing control systems for clients
- Synchronize project activities with stakeholders inside and outside the organization
- Monitor and manage project budgets to stay within approved levels
- Ensure all work adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards
- Field presence is typically required during implementation training
- Travel approximately 30 percent as part of project requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or 4 years of control system engineering experience
- Working knowledge of PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Omron, or equivalents
- Experience with HMI software like Wonderware Intouch or similar
- Familiarity with Ethernet networks and basic networking concepts
- Experience using AutoCAD or comparable CAD software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
- Creative and resourceful problem solving for uncommon application scenarios
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities within a fast paced environment
- Customer focus and a commitment to client satisfaction
