Project Engineer II

Project Engineer II supports engineering design evaluations and manages projects to meet budget and schedule requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead detailed engineering project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Lead design and development of deliverables aligned to all specifications.
• Create 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks and/or CREO.
• Run and participate in design reviews to confirm compliance with technical requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Oversee creation and validation of engineering drawings and specifications.
• Troubleshoot design and production issues; implement solutions to improve system performance.
• Evaluate proposed design changes and ensure integration into the final product.
• Serve as a liaison across engineering, program management, manufacturing, and quality assurance to maintain design intent.
• Plan and oversee hardware testing to validate performance and reliability.
• Analyze test results, identify failure modes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support prototype development and iterative design improvements.
• Identify opportunities for design optimization and cost reduction.
• Track aerospace technology advancements and incorporate innovative solutions where applicable.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Identify technical and schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Interface with customers to define requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Present project updates, design concepts, and test results to clients and upper management.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to achieve project milestones.
• Monitor project progress, adjust plans as needed for timely delivery, and report status and metrics to stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align project goals.
• Uphold the company core values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, RF/Electrical Engineering, or another related Engineering degree.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability and willingness to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read drawings and inspect work being performed.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Experience with passive RF antenna components, feeds, and assemblies is desired.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an authentic desire to build relationships, share knowledge, and positively impact.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Familiarity with MS Projects.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Working knowledge of analysis software.

Compensation

• USD 85,000 - 130,000 per year
