Project Engineer - Traffic

What this role offers

Join HNTB Corporation in Plano, TX on an onsite, full-time basis to lead traffic study programs and drive technical delivery across projects ranging from local agency efforts to large-scale initiatives. You will engage with clients regularly, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with multiple disciplines and partners within a collaborative engineering culture. This role resides in the Engineering Group and emphasizes project management excellence alongside technical delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign discipline-specific work and monitor adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Support marketing efforts, including proposal development.
• Help define scope of work and level of effort for disciplinary projects or assignments.
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the technical team's work and guide team members toward project objectives.
• Coordinate technical aspects with the client counterpart and partnering staff for work within the discipline.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience, or
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience, or
• PhD in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience
