Job Description

GAI Consultants Inc offers a compelling path for seasoned civil engineers focused on highway design and roadway projects. This Senior Project Engineer role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and 14+ years of civil engineering experience, with opportunities to lead design efforts, develop construction plans and estimates, and oversee scopes, budgets, and staffing. Locations include Cranberry, PA; Homestead, PA; or remote work arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Transportation design including roadway design and traffic analysis.
  • Assist with developing and providing oversight for the preparation of scopes, budgets, and schedules for specific tasks of overall projects.
  • Supervise staff to complete their assigned tasks.
  • Identify project staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with supervisor.
  • Maintain GAI’s procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with all aspects of financials on projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledgeable in MicroStation with the familiarity of roadway design software such as OpenRoads Designer desired.
  • May serve as a Task Manager on small projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license with reciprocity in multiple states.
  • 14+ years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience in Civil Engineering.
  • Driver’s License.
