Project / Sr. Project Engineer (Structural)

Dutchland Inc offers an on-site opportunity in Gap, PA for a Project / Senior Project Engineer (Structural). This role centers on structural analysis and design of precast, post-tensioned concrete tanks, with oversight of drafting and close collaboration with Project Management, Production and Construction to meet budgets and schedules. You will lead engineering and drafting efforts, contribute to engineering and drafting efficiency improvements, and have the chance to travel to job sites to inspect tanks when needed. A B.S. in Civil Engineering is required, with a Professional Engineer license and the ability to obtain licensure in additional states as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of precast, post-tensioned concrete tanks in compliance with appropriate design codes and Dutchland standard practices
• Oversee the preparation of Erection and Production drawings for precast, post-tensioned concrete tanks
• Interface with the Project Management, Production and Construction departments to produce and install tanks within established budgets and schedules
• Assign work to Design Engineers as necessary
• Check work performed by Design Engineers
• Contribute to efforts within the Engineering Department to continuously improve quality and efficiency of structural designs
• Contribute to efforts in the Engineering and Drafting Department to continuously improve efficiency of workflow
• Diligently work to obtain proficiency in analysis and design of all types of tanks produced by Dutchland
• Assist in the coordination of engineering and drafting for out-sourced projects, as needed
• Travel to job sites to inspect tanks and recommend remedial work, as needed
• Prepare letters and written reports, as needed
• Submit project reports to the Engineering Manager

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in any state with the ability to become licensed in other states, as needed
• Able to interpret Contract Documents for environmental engineering tank projects
• Concrete tank design experience is a plus
• Willing and able to lead teams of engineers and drafters to ensure successful completion of projects
