Sales Engineer / Product Manager - Filters
Job Description
This role combines sales engineering and product management for HYDAC’s Filters & Elements, onsite in Bethlehem, PA.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed the annual sales and profit goals set for the Product Group.
- Oversee key product activities, including conducting product training.
- Provide sales support and application support.
- Document product costs and related information.
- Coordinate stocking requirements.
- Demonstrate a strong sales acumen.
- Support Application Engineering and Field Sales, including Distributor and RSM relationships.
- Lead distributor, RSM and customer service training initiatives.
- Recommend new products or modifications.
- Suggest and monitor stock levels.
- Develop and update product literature and publicity for new products.
- Coordinate trade shows and related activities.
- Prepare and present product presentations, reports, and plans.
- Manage product and customer-related projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Gather and analyze information skillfully.
- Develop alternative solutions and action plans.
- Develop project plans and coordinate related activities.
- Communicate changes and progress to stakeholders.
- Respond promptly to customer needs and service requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university with a technical focus; engineering is preferred.
- 3–5 years of related industrial experience.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Self-starter with strong motivation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation abilities.
- Ability to build effective relationships with distributors, regional sales managers, and customers.
- Clear and persuasive communication in varied situations.
- Clear and informative writing style.
