Job Description
New York Life seeks a Senior Associate to support investment technology initiatives by building and maintaining applications and designing data flows between Trading, Accounting, and Datawarehouse platforms. The role also applies Generative AI and LLM capabilities to improve productivity and streamline processes in support of investment business teams.
Role Overview
In the Tech Data AI Ventures organization, the primary focus is enabling the investment business through application development and through design, development, and ongoing maintenance of data flows connecting Trading, Accounting, and Datawarehouse platforms. The position leverages Generative AI to increase productivity, streamline workflows, and deliver seamless experiences for investment business groups.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and build scalable, high-performance applications aligned to business requirements, with emphasis on reliability, maintainability, security, and user experience.
- Execute proofs of concept (POCs) and develop prototypes to evaluate new technologies, validate potential solutions, and address emerging business and technical challenges.
- Create reusable components, frameworks, and modern capabilities that can be leveraged across applications and teams.
- Stay current with advancements in Generative AI, LLMs, cloud technologies, and software engineering practices to identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and improved business outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong ownership and problem-solving while working both independently and collaboratively.
- Support the investment business by building and maintaining applications and by designing, developing, and maintaining data flows between Trading, Accounting, and Datawarehouse platforms.
- Apply cutting-edge technologies, including Generative AI, to improve productivity, streamline processes, and support investment business group experiences.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Solid understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Flexible mindset to work across different platforms and projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and across teams.

- Financial Services / Investment Technology domain expertise.

- Role location designation: Hybrid, 3 days per week
Compensation and Bonus Information
- Salary range: USD 100,000–143,000 per year
- Overtime eligible: Exempt
