Job Description

The Senior Digital Electrical Engineer will drive the full digital design lifecycle of PCBs (CCA) for Collins Aerospace communications products in the PCS portfolio, from concept through layout and assembly. This role requires a proactive self-starter who can adapt to change and coordinate across teams to meet demanding schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within a team to generate and update Schematics based on Design Requirements
  • Coordinate with ECAD designers to create a complete database and drawings for PWB/CCA manufacturing
  • Conduct design analyses including Timing, Power, and Signal Integrity assessments
  • Perform design verification and troubleshooting to validate and refine implementations
  • Produce comprehensive design documentation to support development and production

Requirements

  • Proficient in schematic design including parts selection, capture, library management, and parts lists creation
  • Proficient in PCB design with stackup/plane/routing rules definition and verification, placement, constraints setting, and DRC validation
  • Experience with artwork (ODB++) validation, including reviewing and approving PWB/CCA drawing sets
  • Experience in design verification and analysis, including timing, power, and signal integrity analysis, bench testing, troubleshooting, and test results analysis
  • Ability to generate design documentation such as test requirements and design memos
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical engineer developing digital/mixed signal high-speed CCAs
  • Typically requires a STEM degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 3 years of experience

Salary

USD 86,800 - 165,200 per year

Education and Experience

Typically requires a STEM degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 3 years of experience. Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical engineer developing digital/mixed signal high-speed CCAs.

Security Clearance

US citizenship is required for eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance. DoD Clearance: Secret; active clearance required by start date.
