Job Description

Interface Engineering, Inc. offers a leadership opportunity in Washington, DC for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer (MEP) with ownership as a discipline leader. This hybrid role blends collaboration in the office with remote work (3 days remote, 2 days in person). The base salary ranges from $102,431 to $150,000 per year, with a potential bonus, and includes eligibility for our ESOP. You will shape electrical design across a variety of MEP projects while benefiting from a culture that emphasizes growth, social equity, and strong career development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex MEP design projects across multiple industries, including Commercial, Healthcare, Education, Biotech, Transportation, and more.
  • Develop innovative and sophisticated electrical system designs.
  • Meet with and consult clients to define needs and provide expertise.
  • Mentor and guide junior design staff.
  • Support overall project management in partnership with MEP team leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in MEP design or consulting.
  • Project management experience in the MEP space.
  • High-energy client services skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building codes.
  • Thorough knowledge of design systems.
