Location

Key responsibilities
- Lead electrical system design and construction administration for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low‑voltage systems across new builds and renovations, across multiple market sectors, while ensuring code compliance and cost‑effective solutions.
- Provide technical leadership with deep knowledge of power distribution, lighting design, grounding, and protective systems, applying standards, safety rules, and emerging technologies to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with clients and consultants to tailor electrical solutions that meet project requirements, focusing on energy efficiency, sustainability, and reliability, with on‑site travel as needed.
- Steer the creation of technical documents, including system specifications, reports, narratives, and construction drawings for electrical systems.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews of individual work and team outputs to ensure efficient, safe, and dependable electrical designs that satisfy client and regulatory expectations.
- Actively pursue continuous improvement by staying current with industry regulations and design innovations, mentoring the team, and promoting standardized practices.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver projects on schedule and within budget while upholding high quality standards.
- Participate in interviews and client presentations to support new business opportunities and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications
What’s required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with ability to pursue additional state licenses as needed.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architectural engineering or electrical engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- 8+ years of related electrical engineering experience on building projects.
