Senior Municipal Engineer
Job Description
Senior Municipal Engineer opportunity in Reading, PA (hybrid) responsible for leading design and management of municipal stormwater, traffic/transportation and road improvement projects, representing municipal clients, coordinating Land Development Plan reviews, and contributing to the firm's municipal business line.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and management of stormwater management and traffic/transportation initiatives.
- Coordinate municipal road improvement projects through bid and construction phases.
- Represent municipal clients in communications, meetings, and presentations.
- Oversee the Land Development Plan review process in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Strengthen and grow the firm’s municipal practice by maintaining relationships and pursuing new opportunities.
Requirements
- 15 – 20 years of experience in municipal engineering, with at least 5 years as a primary representative.
- Background in stormwater management and traffic/transportation disciplines.
- Experience managing municipal road improvement projects; reviewing development plans; and attending public meetings.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineering License (PE) in Pennsylvania; other state registrations (especially DE and NY) are a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present technical information to large groups at municipal meetings.
- Proven track record in delivering projects on schedule while managing budgets and resources; ability to multi-task across diverse assignments within deadlines.
- Capability to establish, maintain, and cultivate strong relationships with coworkers, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in developing new business and enriching existing client relationships.
