Senior Software Engineer

Based in Atlanta, GA, this onsite role centers on designing, building, and evolving scalable, secure cloud-native systems for an enterprise SaaS platform. The position emphasizes architecture leadership, mentorship, and close collaboration across product, design, and engineering teams to drive durable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud-native applications with Azure as the primary platform
• Guide architectural choices to align with the overall platform roadmap
• Convert business needs into clear, maintainable system designs
• Proactively identify and remediate technical debt and performance bottlenecks
• Write robust, production-ready code with emphasis on performance, scalability, and reliability
• Maintain and advance coding standards, testing approaches, and CI/CD practices
• Engage in design and code reviews to ensure consistency and platform-wide quality
• Advocate for strong observability, monitoring, and incident response practices
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and stakeholders to deliver customer-centric solutions
• Contribute to full feature delivery cycles from design through deployment and refinement
• Ensure technical decisions support business objectives and customer value
• Evaluate and prototype new technologies, tools, and patterns to enhance platform capabilities
• Contribute to internal frameworks, reusable components, and accelerators
• Lead efforts to boost developer productivity and the scale of the platform
• Mentor engineers across the team, offering technical guidance
• Cultivate a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and engineering rigor
• Set the standard through ownership, collaboration, and reliable delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• 3+ years building and operating cloud-based applications, with Azure preferred
• Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (C#, Java, Python)
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React or Angular)
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and microservices architecture
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure
