Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code that follows industry standards, incorporating Test-Driven Development and established coding guidelines (15%).
• Design, build, and sustain scalable, customer-facing web applications and APIs to ensure high performance and reliability using Java and the Spring Boot framework (15%).
• Oversee data storage and retrieval strategies across relational databases such as SQL and Postgres, as well as file-based storage systems (10%).
• Engage in code reviews, mentor teammates, and share knowledge while producing comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specifications, and code-level documentation (10%).
• Collaborate with development teams and product managers to design software solutions that address diverse business needs (10%).
• Leverage Java, multi-threaded programming, and AWS cloud technologies to build, test, deploy, and host solutions (10%).
• Develop automated unit tests for individual components to ensure code quality in line with Sonar standards (10%).
• Partner with cross-functional teams to contribute to system architecture, implement microservices, and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure (10%).
• Document architectural designs and related software functionality, and communicate decisions, issues, and solutions to colleagues and stakeholders (10%).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent foreign credential.
• Around four years of experience in a Full Stack Engineer, Associate Software Engineer, or related role.
• Approximately four years managing Git in collaborative environments.
• About four years building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Harness, and Cloudbees to enable smooth deployments.
• Approximately four years monitoring application performance and reliability using New Relic and Splunk.
• Nearly four years in AWS environments, building and deploying serverless applications and microservices with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, EC2, and CloudFormation.
• About three years developing, delivering, and maintaining professional-grade software with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability, demonstrating object-oriented programming expertise.
• Approximately three years building responsive UIs with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.
• Around three years developing RESTful APIs using Java and managing data via XML, relational databases (SQL, Postgres), and file-based databases.
• Three years working with backend XML, relational, and file-based databases (SQL and Postgres).
• Three years adhering to software engineering best practices, delivering clean, maintainable, test-driven, secure, and scalable code in line with Sonar standards.
• Three years partnering with product owners and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Two years using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform to build scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure.
• Experience functioning in agile teams, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to cross-functional collaboration to meet project goals.
