Senior Python Software Engineer

The Senior Python Software Engineer role at Computer Enterprises Inc focuses on designing and building dependable, high-throughput, low-latency services and AWS cloud infrastructure components. Location and Employment Details

• Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid)
• Onsite expectation: 2–4 days per week (subject to change)
• Job type: Contract
• Compensation: USD 80–85 per hour
• Contract terms: W2 only, 12 month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time with either the client or CEI

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, well-documented software with strong performance and reliability characteristics
• Build and enhance cloud infrastructure components and supporting services
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional partners to advance engineering proposals and best practices
• Define low-level implementation details, including data structures, code organization, and maintainable patterns
• Recommend technical approaches that support scaling, performance, and architectural evolution
• Conduct thorough code reviews and maintain high engineering standards
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of software development experience, including distributed systems and data-focused problem solving
• Programming: Expert-level programming capability with attention to time/space complexity and maintainable design
• Python: Strong Python development experience
• DevOps: DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization with Docker, testing, and automation
• AWS: Hands-on experience implementing solutions on AWS (examples include IAM, S3, Kinesis, Lambda, SNS)
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or CDK
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent related experience
