Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer at BaseCamp Franchising delivers features and improvements to a proprietary software suite, collaborating with cross functional teams and mentoring peers within a Shape Up lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and release new features and fixes across the full software stack
• Gain deep knowledge of BaseCamp's proprietary platform, which blends a point-of-sale system, a product appraisal tool, and an inventory management system
• Own software quality by writing unit and integration tests and manually validating changes for self and teammates
• Enhance reliability and performance of BaseCamp software products
• Contribute to refining release processes across development teams
• Support frontline teams in troubleshooting and resolving bugs as needed
• Play an integral role in the Shape Up software development life cycle
• Mentor teammates through coaching and support
• Collaborate effectively, listen actively, and respect others' ideas
• Participate in occasional on-call or escalation for critical incidents

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building web applications
• Strong understanding of one or more modern backend languages and frameworks
• Significant experience with modern frontend frameworks and API technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Resourceful, detail-oriented, and committed to quality
• Ability to produce high-quality code without assistance from an LLM
• C# and React experience preferred (1 year each)
• Ability to commute to North Salt Lake, UT 84054 (Required)
