Senior Software Engineer

Y&L Consulting offers a hybrid role based in San Antonio, TX 78249 with on-site consulting engagements across the United States. If you value variety in real-world systems and hands-on development, this position combines application design and analysis with database work, web and e-commerce development, network management systems, and SAP-related quality and testing efforts. Travel is expected, with 40% to client sites within the United States.

Compensation: $90,000 to $120,000 per year

What you will do

• Deliver on-site consulting for the design, analysis, and development of software applications across varied environments
• Perform database development and administration using Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server
• Develop e-commerce and web applications using Microsoft, Java, J2EE, and related technologies
• Build and administer network management systems
• Support SAP work including functional, technical, and basis development, plus Quality Assurance and Testing and related modules

Required qualifications

• Master’s or equivalent in Engineering/Computer Science/IT/Business Administration/Mathematics/Science, or a closely related field
• 2 years of experience applying skills aligned with the duties described above
• 40% travel to client sites in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience will be acceptable
