Job Description
Standard Bots is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Embedded Systems for an onsite opportunity in Glen Cove, NY. The role offers a salary range of $170,000 to $210,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes employee stock options, health coverage, paid time off, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k). You will architect backend infrastructure and firmware for robotics hardware to enable safe, reliable operations, while mentoring fellow engineers and guiding best practices across the team.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust backend architectures for robot control and state management
- Build and maintain test infrastructure to ensure system safety and reliability
- Develop firmware for hardware integration of peripherals such as cameras, grippers, and sensors
- Drive technical decisions around system architecture and engineering best practices
- Create reliable APIs and services that enable seamless robot operations
- Implement monitoring, logging, and debugging systems for robot operations
- Mentor other engineers on backend architecture and system design principles
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in complex environments
