This role places you as a Senior Software Engineer on the Programming Foundations team (ASBX) at Amazon, focusing on building and operating AI powered testing platforms and distributed systems at scale while shaping strategy and mentoring teammates.

USD 168,100 - 227,400 per year

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
• At least 5 years of programming experience in one or more programming languages
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture efforts for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• Experience mentoring others, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Responsibilities

• Act as a clear technical leader, collaborating with teammates to craft architectures that scale with business needs
• Deliver high quality technical solutions quickly and reliably to delight customers
• Build and operate distributed systems at global scale, including serverless test orchestration, on demand execution across all AWS regions, and load testing platforms handling millions of transactions daily
• Prioritize developer experience and tooling design throughout the software development lifecycle
• Partner with management and leadership to influence business strategy and product roadmaps
• Engage with customers to learn their testing requirements and help shape their testing strategy
• Set and uphold high standards of technical and operational excellence, empowering colleagues to meet and raise them
