Senior System Engineer (Hardware Engineer)
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Establish the overall system architecture and specify technical requirements for thermal imaging devices.
- Perform trade studies and develop performance budgets covering NETD, MTF, latency, and throughput.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to guide roadmap planning and evaluate design trade‑offs.
- Lead validation and verification activities to assess performance, reliability, and compliance.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system‑level challenges.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in systems engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in embedded systems or sensor‑based product development.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or an equivalent system modeling tool.
- Experience with imaging sensors, optical alignment, calibration, or AI‑enhanced imaging.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead in a collaborative environment.
