Senior Technical Support Engineer - Global Support Center DUV
Job Description
ASML’s Global Support Center DUV offers an environment focused on collaboration, advanced diagnostics, and continuous improvement across regions. This onsite role in Chandler, AZ enables you to work with a global network of engineers, share knowledge, and strengthen field capability while helping reduce customer downtime. You’ll apply deep technical expertise to resolve complex issues, contribute to proactive diagnostics, and support round‑the‑clock escalation coverage through clear handoffs and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert diagnosis and resolution for complex technical escalations from field teams and customer sites, using structured troubleshooting and data analysis with emphasis on illumination, projection, and dose‑control modules of ASML DUV scanners.
- Develop actionable diagnostic plans that guide field engineers from problem definition to technical resolution efficiently.
- Build and expand deep technical mastery of ASML DUV systems, diagnostics, and escalation procedures.
- Troubleshoot competency issues in Illumination, Projection, and Dose Control, including projection lens performance, illumination profiles, dose stability, and light‑source behavior.
- Employ MATLAB and offline diagnostic tooling to analyze optical paths, identify root causes, and propose effective corrective actions.
- Support 24/7 global escalation coverage through effective shift handoffs, stakeholder updates, and collaboration with GSC teams in other regions.
- Share diagnostic knowledge with worldwide GSC competency teams and Customer Support engineers via documentation, training, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Extract lessons learned from escalations and contribute to continuous improvement actions that enhance future diagnostics and field self‑sufficiency.
- Advance proactive diagnostics and predictive data modeling approaches to help reduce unexpected downtime.
- Demonstrate ASML’s collaborative, customer‑focused culture while working with a global network of engineers and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and design documentation.
- Advanced experience with feedback control systems.
- Strong knowledge of optical principles and the ability to troubleshoot projection lens performance, illumination profiles, dose control, and illumination sources such as mercury arc lamps and excimer lasers.
- Fluency in English.
- Robust analytical problem‑solving skills and the ability to convert complex data into practical diagnostic guidance.
- Technical strength in illumination, projection, dose control, optical path diagnostics, imaging and focus performance, electronics, and gas‑flow based light‑path conditioning.
- Clear and concise communication for technical updates, stakeholder alignment, and knowledge transfer.
- Proven ability to work effectively in global, cross‑functional teams across different technical domains.
- Strong ownership, initiative, and follow‑through in a fast‑changing environment with competing priorities.
