Job Description
Hybrid Software Engineer position in Indianapolis, IN, focused on third party integrations and scalable API and cloud native components within an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the I Buy I Sell - Third Party Integrations team of product owners and engineers to tackle technical challenges and deliver robust technologies that serve customers and partners where they operate.
- Tackle complex problems with innovative, practical approaches designed to move beyond quick fixes.
- Develop with the end user in mind, ensuring the products you build keep customer needs front and center.
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve performance, quality, and efficiency rather than simply addressing the immediate issue.
- Champion quality through collaborative testing and behavior driven development practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in software engineering.
- Experience in agile environments using Scrum, Kanban, or XP.
- Proven track record delivering platform modernization with REST, microservices, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and JavaScript ecosystems (JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js).
- Ability to code in multiple languages, with an object oriented language such as Java/J2EE or C#/.NET.
- Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain technical decisions to non engineering stakeholders.
- Collaborative, adaptable, curious, and proactive with solid time management and prioritization skills.
- Solid understanding of technology concepts, business operations, development tools, system architecture, and technical standards.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
