Software Engineer

Based in Washington, DC, onsite, Joint Technology Solution, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the development, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment of enterprise business applications and automation solutions. The role involves collaborating with Solution Architects, developers, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable technology that supports modernization efforts.

Overview

The Engineer (Journeyman) acts as a technical team member responsible for supporting the development, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment of enterprise business applications and automation solutions. This position plays a key role in delivering secure, scalable, and user-focused technology solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and modernization initiatives. The Engineer will work closely with Solution Architects, developers, and stakeholders to implement technical components and resolve issues during the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical construction and deployment of enterprise business applications.
• Design, implement, and unit-test canvas apps and model-driven apps.
• Develop Power Automate flows to automate processes.
• Connect applications to data sources and APIs.
• Collaborate closely with the Solution Architect to implement technical components.
• Resolve system defects and issues encountered during development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR
• Master’s degree (MA/MS) with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR
• Relevant technical certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate) with 6+ years of relevant experience may substitute for a formal degree.
• Relevant certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate) with 4+ years of relevant experience may substitute for a formal degree.
• Relevant experience includes software development, UI/UX design and implementation, and working with data connectors and APIs.
• One year of experience in a DoD or DHS environment is highly desirable.
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) certification required.
