Job Description

Leoforce is seeking a Senior full-stack TypeScript engineer to design and implement a loan origination system for a financial services enterprise. The role leans heavily toward backend development while offering opportunities for frontend work, utilizing Node.js, Apollo GraphQL, Angular, Camunda, and AWS services. This position is based in Arlington, VA with the option for remote work and offers a competitive annual salary range of USD 120,000 to 150,000.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build a loan origination platform using Node.js, Apollo GraphQL, Angular, Camunda, and AWS components (EKS, Lambda, S3, MSK, Aurora), primarily backend with some frontend work.
  • Collaborate with tech leads and the product team to define functional requirements for the system.
  • Contribute as a member of an Agile team and help promote Agile practices.
  • Proactively collaborate with the team on development and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience building GraphQL servers, including schema design, resolvers, and API development.
  • Experience implementing GraphQL federation or federated graph architectures across multiple services.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript for backend or full-stack development.
  • Experience consuming GraphQL APIs on the client side using tools such as Apollo Client or similar.
  • Experience developing server-side applications with Node.js.
  • Hands-on experience deploying or supporting applications in AWS environments.
  • Experience developing frontend applications using React or Angular.
  • Ability to design and optimize GraphQL schemas and queries to ensure efficient data fetching between frontend and backend services.
  • Experience collaborating across frontend and backend teams to support scalable GraphQL-based architectures.
