Job Description

Northrop Grumman is offering a Software Engineer position in Orlando, onsite. The role supports the Sentinel Training Devices Team with software design, development, testing, and integration across flight, mission, lab, and tools software. A Master’s degree is required for this role, and an active DoD Secret Clearance is necessary. The annual salary ranges from USD 79,300 to 118,900.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of Strategic Operating Units, executing both sustainment and modernization programs
  • Contribute to software engineering initiatives with software design and development, software test and integration, and DevOps expertise
  • Utilize a variety of software languages, technologies, and industry best practices
  • Support all phases of the development life cycle for flight, mission, lab, and tools software

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of related technical experience; Master’s degree with 0 years of related technical experience
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience developing software with C++, JavaScript, and Python
  • Experience building modern, scalable web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
  • Experience debugging software and resolving defects
  • Experience using Git and GitLab for version control in a team setting
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies (Jira, Confluence)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience automating tasks with Bash or similar scripting languages
  • Experience developing with embedded C++ on System-on-Chip boards such as Zynq Ultrascale+ or similar products
  • Experience configuring and using code analysis tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, or similar
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks including Eggplant and Microsoft Testing Framework
  • Experience implementing continuous integration solutions with Jenkins and Bamboo
