Software Engineer
Job Description
Northrop Grumman is offering a Software Engineer position in Orlando, onsite. The role supports the Sentinel Training Devices Team with software design, development, testing, and integration across flight, mission, lab, and tools software. A Master’s degree is required for this role, and an active DoD Secret Clearance is necessary. The annual salary ranges from USD 79,300 to 118,900.

Responsibilities
- Support the development of Strategic Operating Units, executing both sustainment and modernization programs
- Contribute to software engineering initiatives with software design and development, software test and integration, and DevOps expertise
- Utilize a variety of software languages, technologies, and industry best practices
- Support all phases of the development life cycle for flight, mission, lab, and tools software
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of related technical experience; Master’s degree with 0 years of related technical experience
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Experience developing software with C++, JavaScript, and Python
- Experience building modern, scalable web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Experience debugging software and resolving defects
- Experience using Git and GitLab for version control in a team setting
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies (Jira, Confluence)

- Experience developing with embedded C++ on System-on-Chip boards such as Zynq Ultrascale+ or similar products
- Experience configuring and using code analysis tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, or similar
- Experience with automated testing frameworks including Eggplant and Microsoft Testing Framework
- Experience implementing continuous integration solutions with Jenkins and Bamboo
