Job Description

The Software Engineer role at Thomas & Reed, LLC focuses on building cloud-based, internet-connected applications that improve UX through full-stack development and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, develop, and validate software systems and applications with a focus on user experience (UX) innovation
  • Enhance existing products and create new solutions, especially across cloud platforms and internet-connected tools
  • Build intuitive, high-performance UX applications to support product differentiation and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++, applied across multiple development environments
  • Experience with both front-end and back-end development, including full-stack architecture and integration
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Kanban and Scrum, with hands-on work in iterative development and collaboration
  • Hands-on cloud experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, including deployment and service integration
  • Knowledge of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL, for efficient data modeling and access
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork across multidisciplinary groups
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines
  • Hands-on GUI development experience using modern tools and frameworks, with emphasis on usability and performance
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices to support secure design and implementation
