Build, test, and support software systems as part of Indiana University’s UITS Software and Systems engineering group. Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and configure software systems and computer programs.
Consult with stakeholders/clients to review existing solutions and develop new functionality or code as needed.
Collaborate with technical staff and stakeholders/clients to support optimum functionality across performance, accessibility, scalability, and security.
Document software development activities, including changes, new functionality, and issue/problem resolution.
Follow program module test procedures, generate required test data, execute testing, perform quality assurance checks, and fix bugs; work with functional users to diagnose testing issues and provide production support.
Provide documentation, information, and training to end users, departments, and internal staff through formal and informal communications.
Adhere to university software development standards and best practices, including version control, nightly build systems, and test suites; stay current on emerging software development standards, technology, and UX/UI and accessibility standards.

Helpful experience and skills

Some experience with software development or a related field

Experience with containerization platforms such as docker and podman
Experience with Kubernetes application deployment methods such as helm or kustomize
