Software Engineer

MANTECH is seeking a Software Engineer for an onsite role in Philadelphia, PA 19112. The position supports cybersecurity system software development and analysis, configuration control, and DevSecOps and Machine Learning activities associated with operational technology and shipboard or lab environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity system software development support to the customer in accordance with the NSWCPD System Engineering Process (SEP), including software design and implementation with unit test development and execution for Operational Technology (OT) systems.
• Conduct software security analysis on software baselines and source code.
• Establish and maintain configuration control for software, hardware, and containers.
• Support development and application of Machine Learning techniques to identify cybersecurity-critical data elements from technical documents and other sources of information.
• Develop, evaluate, update, and review technical documentation, including manuals, system diagrams, system drawings, signal flow diagrams, logistics documents and data sets, and operating procedures.
• Support development and review of drawing packages that represent shipboard and land-based test facility configurations.
• Support design, development, and implementation of DevSecOps solutions for software products deployed to laboratory, test facility, or shipboard environments, including build automation and dependency management tooling, as well as static and dynamic vulnerability scanning tools.

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
• 3+ years of professional experience developing software using one or more high-level languages: Java, Python, Go, or C++.
• 2+ years of professional experience applying software development methodologies, including Agile and/or DevOps/DevSecOps in a professional or academic setting.
• Possession of an IAT Level II qualifying certification IAW DOD 8570.01-M.
• Must meet at least one of the following:
  • 3+ years managing, maintaining, and supporting software build tools and revision control systems.
  • 3+ years performing software testing and QA duties (ad-hoc, unit, performance, regression, or smoke testing).
  • 3+ years developing software using cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.) in a professional or academic setting.
• US Citizenship required and an active or current Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain prior to starting.

• Ability to move up and down ladders, along narrow companionways, and lift and carry equipment and tools weighing 25 lbs.
