Job Description

Leidos is engaged in a 200+ FTE technical development effort in support of Sponsor’s Entitlement Programs and IdAM/ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes, and Digital Policy Management. In this onsite role at Chantilly, VA, you will help modernize legacy applications and build secure, reliable IT capabilities using AWS and related technologies within an Agile & Scrum delivery model.

The work includes developing and maintaining services that support entitlement and identity workflows, with hands-on engineering across APIs, front-end components, data pipelines, and automated testing. The position also includes mentoring junior developers and collaborating across internal and external teams to deliver technically sound solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and modernize legacy applications used in the sponsor’s entitlement and identity programs
  • Write and develop custom scripts to install and configure code on EC2 instances
  • Leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) to implement and improve cloud-based solutions
  • Design and utilize a custom ETL methodology to support data movement and transformation needs
  • Develop RESTful APIs using spring boot
  • Develop Java and Angular applications using TypeScript, including work that leverages Elasticsearch
  • Perform unit testing and participate in peer code reviews
  • Use automated testing frameworks, including Selenium
  • Apply strong communication, design, documentation, organization, time, and workflow management practices
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver solutions that align with requirements and specifications
  • Think through technical challenges methodically within a collaborative environment to produce technically sound outcomes
  • Work within Agile & Scrum methodologies
  • Mentor junior developers on community best practices

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • BS degree with 12+ years of prior relevant experience, or additional experience in lieu of the degree
  • Full Stack Development experience
  • Experience with multiple programming languages, including Java, spring boot, Angular (TypeScript), and Cloud / AWS
  • Experience reading and developing solutions that satisfy customer requirements and specifications
  • Experience working in the Command Line (RH Linux)
  • Experience developing a custom ETL methodology
  • Knowledge of Confluence, Jira, Git, and Jenkins

Salary: USD 131,300 to 237,350 per year
