Job Description

ETW Energy is seeking an experienced AI‑driven Software Engineer to design, build, and deploy software solutions that support its clean energy mission, leveraging AI coding tools to speed development from a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Rapid prototyping and development using advanced large language models to scaffold, build, and deploy secure, well‑documented code across the tech stack.
  • System architecture design that leverages AI to generate scalable structures, database schemas, and robust API contracts.
  • Code review and auditing of AI‑generated code with a strict focus on security, performance, and scalability.
  • Debugging and optimization through AI‑guided workflows to identify bottlenecks, modernize legacy systems, and handle complex edge cases.
  • Continuous innovation by staying at the forefront of AI development tools and refining internal engineering workflows and prompt libraries.
  • Collaborative problem solving with the technology team and acting as a technical authority to ensure adherence to internal standards.
  • Delivery of high‑quality projects with an emphasis on user satisfaction, productivity, safety, and data integrity.
  • Ongoing professional development through required trainings and learning new technologies and processes as directed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Proven track record integrating LLMs (Claude, GPT, etc.) and AI coding environments (Cursor, VS Code extensions) into daily development workflows.
  • Expertise in advanced prompt engineering for code, including context management and multi‑file generation.
  • Strong computer science or software engineering foundation; capable coder who can evaluate AI output for correctness and efficiency.
  • Experience with core technology stack as defined for the role, e.g., Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, AWS.
  • Strong critical thinking and debugging skills with a healthy skepticism of automated code outputs.

Position Summary

We seek an experienced AI‑Assisted Software Engineer who delivers consistent, predictable results by driving technology improvements, development efficiency, and system architecture. You will be a core technical contributor and an AI Orchestrator capable of guiding the development process with minimal supervision, while upholding strong performance and security standards.
