Software Engineer - Electronic Trading Analyst
Job Description
This permanent Software Engineer role joins a Fixed Income electronic trading team in New York, NY, working onsite at Huxley. The position focuses on building and improving real-time, mission-critical, time-sensitive trading tools across the full software development lifecycle, using C# and .NET.
Role Focus
You will deliver software that supports dealer-to-client and inter-dealer trading across global Fixed Income markets. Work includes designing and implementing real-time trading and pricing components across both client and server environments, along with building durable, maintainable architectures for complex trading workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and enhance trading tools used for dealer-to-client and inter-dealer activity across global Fixed Income markets.
- Contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle for mission-critical, time-sensitive trading applications.
- Collaborate closely with traders, sales, and senior technologists.
- Design and build real-time trading and pricing components on both client and server sides.
- Create robust, maintainable architectures for complex trading workflows.
Required Skills and Experience
- Advanced C# and .NET to design and build real-time trading and pricing components on client and server.
- Object-Oriented Design & Design Patterns, including MVVM, to create maintainable architectures for complex trading workflows.
- Git-based source control for version management and collaboration.
- Agile / Scrum for iterative delivery and alignment with continuous delivery practices.
- Dependency Injection & Entity Framework to build modular, testable services and efficient data access layers.
- CI/CD with TeamCity and Jenkins to follow established pipelines for build, test, and deployment into production.
- Multithreaded / Concurrent Systems to support high-throughput, low-latency trading operations safely and efficiently.
Preferred Experience
- Fixed Income knowledge to better translate trading needs into technical solutions.
- Electronic trading platform exposure with prior familiarity with venues such as Bloomberg, Tradeweb, BrokerTec, or similar.
