Software Engineer (Frontend Developer)

Lockheed Martin's CommandIQ team in Colorado Springs is looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to help break down roadmap features into actionable UI work and bring dynamic user interfaces to life. This hybrid role pairs hands-on frontend development with collaboration across agile, cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, user-focused software in a security-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Break down higher-level roadmap features into concrete, executable tasks for the team
• Create, integrate, and test frontend features to meet design and functional requirements
• Conduct peer reviews and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Participate in technical discussions to address overarching software architecture needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers to clarify project requirements and stakeholder needs

Requirements

• Frontend development experience with Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
• Familiarity with Docker and REST APIs
• Exposure to UI/UX design processes and familiarity with design tools (Figma, MockFlow, UXPin, Axure)
• Understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle with hands-on experience in some stages
• 1+ years of relevant work experience or an advanced Computer Science degree
• Active Secret Clearance

Compensation

Salary: USD 76,500 - 134,895 per year. This range is stated for specified locations and reflects general guidelines; actual compensation may vary based on final work location and related factors.
