Job Description

Senior Software Engineer III responsible for graphics support and web design, guiding the development of websites and applications with a focus on usability, accessibility, and brand consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain customized websites and applications, including non-form-driven interfaces that require advanced programming across HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Python, PHP, and SQL.
  • Leverage design tools and coding languages such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, PowerPoint, HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML; work within UNIX, Windows NT, and TCP/IP environments.
  • Develop front-end user interfaces and back-end functionalities across multiple platforms to support both public-facing and internal websites.
  • Provide limited support for graphics related efforts on the organization’s SharePoint page and other internal content management systems.
  • Use analytics and monitoring tools to assess site performance and user behavior, delivering data-driven recommendations to improve usability and experience.
  • Build and support event registration and information sites with features tailored to mission requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and Army cybersecurity and accessibility standards when developing and maintaining web assets.
  • Develop technical documentation and configuration settings related to web security, backup procedures, and overall site architecture.
  • Provide backup support for digital and social media platforms, ensuring messaging consistency with web content strategies.
  • Provide backup support for other graphics related functions, including event photography and production of awards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Graphic Design, Computer Information Systems, or Web Design.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience with demonstrated knowledge in conceptualization, layout, typography, photography, illustration, Web Design and animation, production, and prepress work, with five (5) or more years of professional Web development/coding experience in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, PowerPoint and other design tools as well as HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML.
  • An Associate’s Degree with a minimum of twelve (12) years of related experience can substitute for the bachelor’s degree.
  • Additional years of experience can substitute for the field of study.

Salary: USD 120,000 - 130,000 per yearly
