Software Engineer III with TS/SCI Polygraph
Job Description
Deloitte is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Process Engineering and Automation team in Baltimore, where secure, scalable software powers AI-enabled websites, internal tools, dashboards, and APIs within a compliance-driven environment. This onsite role offers a salary range of USD 119,000 to 198,400 per year and the opportunity to contribute across the full software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain end-to-end web solutions, including user interfaces, data stores, and server-side services, aligned with program requirements and security standards.
- Own features across the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis and solution design to development, testing, deployment support, and ongoing maintenance.
- Build and enhance applications using Python, HTML, CSS, .NET, and PowerShell while embedding security controls and secure coding practices throughout the workflow.
- Incorporate artificial intelligence capabilities into applications, including large language model features, agentic workflows, intelligent search, and AI-assisted user experiences.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in code reviews; and document APIs, data models, and architectural decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least four years of experience in application development with a focus on test-driven development.
- Four or more years of Python experience and full-stack web development expertise, including React, HTML, CSS, .NET, and APIs.
- Four-plus years working across the software development life cycle, from requirements through deployment and maintenance.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Ability to travel approximately 10 to 25 percent depending on client assignments.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

- Experience with PostgreSQL schema design and relational database development.
- Experience building applications with React and .NET.
- Experience implementing security controls aligned to the Open Worldwide Application Security Project Top 10 guidance.
- Experience integrating large language model capabilities, agentic workflows, or intelligent search into applications.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests within a CI/CD environment.
- Experience supporting Authority to Operate documentation or security review processes in classified environments.
