Software Engineer Level 2 or 3 (AHT)

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 Software Engineer to join its Space Systems team in Boulder, Colorado. The position combines high-performance Python development with low-level hardware interaction in an agile environment, with a Secret clearance required and 25% travel.

Role Overview

This role focuses on connecting performance-oriented Python applications to hardware-facing work. You will support engineering activities in an agile environment and contribute to diagnosing complex issues encountered during development and operations.

Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap between high-performance Python applications and low-level hardware interaction.
• Diagnose complex issues.

Required Qualifications

• Must have an active Secret clearance at the time of application.
• Solid understanding of the Python programming language.
• Proven understanding of CI/CD pipeline process.
• Familiarity with version control using Bitbucket.
• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
• Active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at the time of application.

Primary level salary range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00 (per year)

Secondary level salary range: $114,000 - $171,000 (per year)
