Job Description
Que Technology Group, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to deliver policy-driven capabilities that support an existing classification marking tool and a web-based tool for Microsoft 365 applications. The role includes full life cycle development work, extending validation and comparison tooling, and collaborating with an established team.
Responsibilities
- Perform full life cycle activities including design, development, testing, and documentation for policy-driven software across multiple fabrics.
- Extend and customize tools for classification string validation and classification comparison in support of access control use cases.
- Contribute throughout the software lifecycle by providing input across ongoing stages of delivery.
- Collaborate effectively within an existing team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer engineering or a related field within computer engineering or computer science disciplines.
- An additional 4 years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of 7 years.
- 3 years of software engineering experience.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript/DOM, TypeScript, and Node.js/npm.
- Experience with AWS, including the ability to navigate AWS dashboards and services.
- Hands-on experience using Docker via command line and converting applications into Docker images.
- Experience using Git via command line, along with GitLab CI and GitLab pipelines.
- Familiarity with Jest and Cypress.
- Working knowledge of JIRA and GitLab.
- Experience developing functional and unit tests.
- Experience conducting code reviews.
- Ability to work directly with customers.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to adhere to coding standards and follow team policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Gather, analyze, and capture customer requirements.
- Adhere to development processes established by the team.
- Assist in developing requirements for new features and fixing defects.
- Create and expand unit tests.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office JavaScript API.
- Track and respond to user issues and questions.
- Triage user issues.
- Test new software releases and merge requests.
- Experience working collaboratively with a team of developers, contractors, and government stakeholders.
- Contribute content for high-level documentation and guides.
- Strong time management skills.
