Job Description

Capgemini is seeking a Senior DSP & Audio Embedded Software Engineer to support board bring-up, integration, and validation for real-time audio on the iRDK platform.

Responsibilities

  • Support bring-up and integration for the DSP subsystem and Safety Processor on the iRDK platform
  • Own the real-time audio pipeline, including codec integration, Audio HAL enablement, latency characterization, and performance validation
  • Integrate and validate safety-critical subsystems, including lockstep processing, safety monitors, and fault detection mechanisms
  • Collaborate with DSP firmware teams, tools support teams, and technology partners to resolve technical challenges
  • Debug and resolve hardware/software integration issues affecting audio, DSP, and safety subsystem performance
  • Validate real-time system performance and audio quality against Ok2Book and program acceptance criteria
  • Work across hardware, software, systems, and validation teams to support platform integration and product readiness
  • Participate in board bring-up, subsystem enablement, and system-level debugging
  • Document DSP, audio, and safety subsystem status and readiness for program reviews and milestones
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of embedded software development and validation processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of embedded software development experience
  • 5+ years working with TI DSP platforms (C7xxx, C66x, or equivalent)
  • Strong expertise in real-time operating systems such as TI SYS/BIOS, FreeRTOS, or equivalent RTOS environments
  • Hands-on audio subsystem bring-up experience, including ALSA, Audio HAL, codec integration, I2S, and SoundWire
  • Experience with safety-critical embedded systems, including lockstep architectures, safety self-test libraries, and FTTI analysis/modeling
  • Strong C/C++ development skills in bare-metal and RTOS-based environments
  • Experience with TI Code Composer Studio and DSP development toolchains
  • Proven hardware debugging expertise using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, and related diagnostic tools
  • Experience with board bring-up, subsystem enablement, and hardware/software integration activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex embedded environments
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary engineering teams

Salary: USD 73,150 - 174,000 per yearly
