Sr. Fire Protection Engineer

Compensation and location: USD 90,000 - 135,000 per year, on site in Adams, MA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and specify fire protection systems, including sprinkler networks, fire alarms, and suppression equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction professionals to integrate fire protection into building designs.
• Maintain current knowledge of fire protection engineering advancements and apply new technologies and techniques to designs and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of five years of professional experience in fire protection engineering and design.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes and standards.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Fire Protection.
• Experience with fire modeling and simulation software.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Membership in professional organizations such as the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE).
• Thorough knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA, IBC, and OSHA.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with engineers, contractors, and building owners.
• Commitment to delivering expert engineering solutions that enhance facility safety and security.
• Willingness to engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
