Job Description

Vista Higher Learning is seeking a Sr Full stack Software Engineer for a hybrid role in Boston, MA, offering $140,000-$150,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle to deliver robust applications
  • Conduct performance testing and optimization
  • Write clean, maintainable code to create functional web applications
  • Collaborate effectively across disciplines to ensure timely and efficient project delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years of senior software engineering experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails or Python plus JavaScript
  • Proven software architecture experience, including data persistence and API design
  • Strong understanding of networking and web browser protocols
  • Advanced working knowledge of Unix-like systems and comfort using the terminal
  • Advanced SQL and database schema design expertise
  • Advanced working knowledge of Git and GitHub
  • Experience collaborating with other departments or teams
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
