Structural Engineer

Baisch Engineering is hiring a Structural Engineer to support industrial facility design and documentation in Appleton, WI.

Responsibilities

• Make design decisions that keep projects moving forward
• Manage assigned tasks to meet the proposed budget and schedule
• Design industrial facilities from concept through completion, including equipment supports and foundations
• Develop structural designs using concrete, steel, and masonry
• Collaborate with Baisch process and electrical departments to deliver integrated client solutions
• Provide input and opinions for creative solutions in unique situations, especially brown field and existing facility projects
• Review and stamp design documents
• Manage a team of designers and drafters

Requirements

• EIT
• Experience designing industrial facilities with steel and concrete
• Preferred: background in industrial and manufacturing (pulp and paper experience is a bonus)
• Ability to work independently and in groups; lead small design teams when necessary
• Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with clients, contractors, vendors, and other design staff
• Interest in building a career, not only a job
• Self-motivated with interest in unique design challenges
