Structural Engineer / Project Manager (P.E.)
Job Description
Anchor Engineering Inc is hiring a Structural Engineer / Project Manager (P.E.) for its Denver, CO team with hybrid flexibility after onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support structural design and project delivery from concept through construction
- Prepare, review, and oversee structural calculations, plans, specifications, and engineering reports
- Analyze structural systems and develop code-compliant, practical design solutions
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams
- Manage or support project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, and deliverables
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, and Anchor Engineering quality expectations
- Provide technical guidance, quality review, and mentorship to engineers, designers, and technicians
- Participate in site observations, field investigations, and construction-phase services
- Support development of construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
- Assist with proposals, client presentations, business development, and long-term client relationships
- Perform structural analysis, design, and project coordination
- Independently lead structural design and technical execution when assigned at higher experience levels
- Own project deliverables, schedules, and coordination; review and oversee work produced by junior staff
- Stamp projects and technical reports as appropriate
- Serve as a primary client and consultant contact and point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
- Review and approve project deliverables and quality standards
- Contribute to proposals and recruiting, mentoring, and staff development to support Anchor Engineering’s Denver operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited program
- Active P.E. or S.E. license (or ability to obtain Colorado licensure)
- 4+ years of structural engineering experience
- 6+ years preferred for Senior Project Engineer consideration
- 8+ years preferred for Project Manager consideration
- Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and light-gauge framing design
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software
- AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience coordinating with clients, architects, contractors, and consultants
- Interest in mentoring team members and contributing to company growth
