Technical Support Engineer (After Hours)
Job Description
Hybrid Systems / Network Administrator with Technical Support duties for Credit Union Solutions, based in Monett, MO with remote and on-site capabilities in a 24/7 after-hours schedule.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve user technology issues; fulfill user requests and address setup needs.
- Investigate and resolve escalated technical issues promptly and effectively, leveraging in-depth knowledge of products, systems, and technologies.
- Implement monthly system enhancements (software and hardware updates) to improve performance and reliability.
- Provide high-quality customer service by clearly communicating technical solutions to customers, ensuring satisfaction and understanding.
- Participate in preparing test environments to simulate, document, or recreate errors reported by customers to determine appropriate action.
- Share knowledge across areas, create documentation and solution articles to aid case resolution, assist with escalated issues, and manage cases and implementations.
- Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs to software engineering; contribute to defect records with supporting files and examples for development to create fixes.
- Serve as a liaison between third-party vendors and internal application administrators to identify issues and implement fixes.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience gained through hands-on work or academic training in IT, or experience in a financial institution or FinTech.
- Experience working with Unix or Linux is required.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation outside normal work hours.
- Willingness to work an after-hours shift between 7:00 pm central and 7:00 am central.
- Weekend availability is required.
