UI/UX Design Engineer
Job Description
CACI is seeking a UI/UX Design Engineer to lead user experience efforts for mission management systems, leveraging cloud-native technologies within an extreme agile continuous deployment framework and requiring TS/SCI clearance.
Responsibilities
- Direct UX initiatives within the SPEAR program, applying established best practices.
- Work with a fellow UX designer, product manager, Mission Engineers, and development teams to convert user needs into design mockups.
- Develop and maintain UI components and interactions according to design specs and the UI Style Guide.
- Ensure web applications render correctly across browsers and devices and remain responsive.
- Plan and conduct user testing and research, integrating findings into iterative design improvements as needed.
- Stay current on UX trends and accessibility standards to inform design decisions.
- Document design and development processes to support project workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in UX design with 508 compliance expertise.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Axure RP.
- Solid understanding of UX principles, user-centered design, and accessibility standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with user research methods and data analysis.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Comfort presenting ideas to stakeholders, development teams, and leadership.
- Willingness to work in a mission-focused government environment.
- Must hold a TS/SCI clearance.
- Ensure UI/UX designs are technically feasible.
- Experience delivering fluid, web-responsive user interfaces.

Pay Range
The final salary depends on location, government contract factors, experience, skills, education, and certifications. The stated range is the national average: $75,200 to $158,100 per year.
