Sunfire Solutions is hiring a Cleared UI/UX Software Engineer (15+ years) for onsite work in Fairfax, VA.

Provide ground-up UI/UX guidance and lead design for web-based applications
Design completely new solutions or modernize existing applications
Develop quick UI prototypes to demonstrate next-gen features
Write clean, professional code and encourage consistent coding practices across the team
Analyze user experience, interactions, and usability to create effective interfaces
Drive UI consistency through component reuse, theming, and style guides
Collaborate with other engineers on system architecture, UI/UX concerns, and related application design
Create low and high-fidelity mockups and wireframes that represent user interactions
Troubleshoot and debug technical issues across the UI and related components
Share technical knowledge with other developers

Active US Government Security Clearance: TS/SCI with active poly
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

Ability to work individually or in groups
Education: BS/BA in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience

15+ years of demonstrated software engineering experience in front-end or full-stack roles
Extensive knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, CSS (Less/Sass)
Experience with modern front-end frameworks: Vue.js, React, Angular
Experience designing high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and UI prototypes
Extensive knowledge of REST APIs, JSON processing, and JSON Web Tokens
Experience with NPM and Node.js
Knowledge of advanced web topics: worker threads, web sockets, storage APIs
Knowledge of OO design patterns and software architectural patterns
Familiarity with Linux
Familiarity with AWS services and cloud deployments
