Compensation and location
Salary: USD 90,000 - 100,000 per year. Location: Las Vegas, NV (onsite). Education requirement: BSEE or BSCE. Experience: five or more years in related roles.
Responsibilities
- Write, test, debug and maintain the source code of software programs
- Research, design and develop system software in conjunction with the SYNKROS Casino Management System and related product development
- UI software programming and documentation development
- Store, retrieve and manipulate data to analyze system capabilities and requirements
- Apply strong HTML, CSS and FIGMA experience to code new and enhanced UI objectives; analyze objectives and problems defined by engineers or designers
- Assist management with code reviews
- Provide mentoring and oversight to junior developers on functional development, coding practices and company policies
- Assist in project management enhancements of the system as needed
- Coordinate testing scripts, documentation and deployment schedules with QA, Training and Documentation teams
- Address difficult technical challenges and meet tight deadlines
- Determine or coordinate purchasing requirements for programs or enhancements
- Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals and technical issues such as software system design and maintenance
- Coordinate installation plans of systems software and firmware
- Prepare reports and correspondence on project specifications, activities and status
- Collaborate with data processing and project managers to obtain information on data processing limitations and capabilities
- Report discrepancies, changes or recommendations for senior management
- Demonstrate knowledge of the IT industry, its systems, platforms, tools and technologies
- Apply expertise in graphical user interface design and development
- Foster solid customer relations and gather feedback on system stability and reliability
- Troubleshoot and diagnose client issues and resolve them efficiently
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- BSEE or BSCE from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five years or more of experience as a website software designer with HTML and CSS front-end coding
- Three or more years of experience in graphical user interface design development
- Strong knowledge of software design systems
- Casino Gaming or Lottery System experience a plus
- Professional verbal and written communication across all business levels
- Ability to obtain and maintain gaming licensure(s)
- Extensive knowledge of computer systems, front-end development including HTML/CSS and UI design
- GUI programming skills and experience
- Experience with Casino Gaming, Lottery Systems or RDBMS is a plus
- Eligibility to obtain licensing or certifications required by gaming regulations
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Effective public speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply them to practical problems
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions and diagrams

Work environment
Full-time, 40+ hours per week with flexibility for overtime, including nights, weekends and holidays as required. The role requires prolonged computer use in a space with limited working area, with extended seated work and repetitive keyboard and mouse activity. The position is based at the assigned location to enable direct interaction with team members, management and stakeholders, with travel only as needed for business purposes. The environment is high in pace and demand, requiring strong attention to detail, integrity and confidentiality. The work setting is a smoke free office with a low to moderate noise level and cubicle proximity to other coworkers.
