Job Description

Sunflare LLC is building clinician-facing AI decision support, where clear UI and trustworthy interaction matter. This hybrid role in Orlando, FL combines ownership of product and visual design with hands-on collaboration on React and TypeScript implementation. You will help shape calm, legible AI experiences for clinicians and practice staff, from early prototypes through production-ready interfaces.

Compensation: USD 85,000 - 110,000 per year
Location: Orlando, FL (hybrid)
Experience: 3+ years required
Education: Bachelor’s required

What you’ll do

  • Own product and interaction design for key clinician and practice workflows, from first sketch to interaction detail.
  • Translate messy clinical data and non-deterministic AI output into interfaces that are calm, legible, and fast to act on.
  • Design AI decision support surfaces including streaming model output, human-in-the-loop review and approval, citation and source display, ranked suggestions, and confidence and uncertainty signaling.
  • Build and evolve the design system, including components, patterns, tokens, and guidelines, keeping the product consistent as surface area grows.
  • Keep the work engineer-usable and accessibility-forward, with clear accountability for usability and honesty around access needs.
  • Prototype early using Figma and, where useful, in code to pressure-test ideas with clinicians and the broader team.
  • Contribute to the front end by turning designs into clean React and TypeScript, either shipping alongside the team or pairing closely so implementation preserves design intent.
  • Partner with product and clinical stakeholders on research with real clinicians, help plan and run it, and convert findings into design decisions.

What you bring

  • 3+ years designing digital products end to end, with a portfolio showing product thinking plus visual and interaction craft.
  • Product sense: you evaluate the user, workflow, and trade-offs, not only pixels.
  • AI product UX: experience designing AI interfaces such as streaming output, review-and-approve flows, citations and grounding, and displaying uncertainty without overstating it.
  • Design systems: hands-on experience building or owning a design system, with accessibility knowledge aligned to WCAG and responsive design.
  • Fluency in Figma and comfort in code.
  • Ability to prototype in React and TypeScript, with production shipping experience ideal.
  • Clear communication across engineers, product, and clinical partners; you incorporate feedback without ego.

Nice to have

  • Production React and TypeScript experience in a real, maintained codebase.
  • Exposure to data-dense or real-time interfaces (dashboards, charting, D3, or streaming UI).
  • Experience with regulated or high-stakes environments, including healthcare and other high-compliance products.
  • Prior work designing LLM feature UX in shipped products.
  • Experience building judgment around AI in your own workflow.
  • Design education (degree in design, HCI, or related) or equivalent portfolio and experience.

Application questions

  • How would you describe your comfort level prototyping or shipping in React and TypeScript?
  • Do you have hands-on experience building or owning a design system (components, patterns, tokens, guidelines)?
  • How many years of experience do you have designing digital products end to end, from concept through interaction detail?
  • Please share a link to your portfolio, including at least one project you designed end to end. If possible, highlight something data-dense, real-time, or AI-driven.
