Wire Harness Engineer

The Wire Harness Engineer at Wilspec Technologies, Inc. designs HVAC wire harnesses and steers their development from concept through production, utilizing Solidworks and Solidworks PDM. This onsite role in Oklahoma City requires collaboration with local and global teams to define technical requirements, test performance, and support manufacturing, sales, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Produce Solidworks drawings of HVAC wire harnesses to communicate technical requirements to customers and manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with the Oklahoma City office and global colleagues to advance design and manufacturing best practices.
• Evaluate the functionality and fit of components within sub-assemblies.
• Manage harness designs from conception to production using Solidworks PDM.
• Partner with laboratory technicians to plan and execute tests, and generate reports validating product performance.
• Gather technical requirements from drawings and determine project scope and feasibility.
• Work closely with quality and manufacturing teams to develop engineering solutions that reduce cost, improve production yield, and enhance overall product performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with product performance and safety certification agencies as assigned by management.
• Lead project management and execution activities.
• Provide technical support to Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
• Uphold the company mission, standards, policies and procedures, and confidentiality guidelines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in wire harness design and/or manufacturing.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and professional with cross-functional teams.
• Solidworks experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical discipline.
• 10% travel, domestic and international.
