Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot security solutions, applying knowledge of existing security controls to meet internal security requirements for product, platform, and application owners.
- Write secure, production-grade code and maintain algorithms that operate in concert with the relevant systems.
- Optimize latency and cost while managing load, caching, concurrency, and data growth.
- Leverage enterprise-approved AI capabilities to speed security analysis and vulnerability documentation, validating outputs and ensuring appropriate handling of sensitive data.
- Lead continuity awareness initiatives, training, and exercises to enhance preparedness across teams.
- Adopt reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within SDLC and toolchains to strengthen security testing, with traceability and alignment to resiliency and security standards.
- Refactor code, reduce technical debt, improve CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in security engineering with at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on coding experience in Java or Golang and a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience developing security engineering solutions.
- Proven use of enterprise-approved AI capabilities to support security engineering workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted code and security recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following security and data handling requirements.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Demonstrated ability to handle moderately ambiguous requirements and own features through delivery.
